Blossom on my first apple tree – a Peasgood Nonsuch (and yes, I chose it purely because of its name!).

The garage sale is on Sunday 5th of September, 11 – 2 pm at 16 Harewood Road, Papanui (Christchurch, New Zealand!).

And here are some of pumpkins we grew.

These beautiful monsters of the cucurbit family are Musquee de Provence from the fantastic Kings Seeds.

I’m crazy busy sewing and printing and glueing and folding and stitching and threading and pressing and ironing for A Craft Affair this weekend – from 11 am till 3 pm this Sunday at Our City on Worcester Boulevard, Christchurch. See you there!

…banana ice cream!

I found the recipe here and it is so very simple and so very yum that I just had to share:

Step one: Peel a couple of bananas

Step two: Cut the bananas in to a few slices

Step three: Put them in to a container in the freezer

Step four: Freeze until solid (I waited until the next day)

Step five: Put the frozen banana pieces into your blender and blend ’til the bananas are the texture of ice cream

And then eat.

I had hoped to have these ready for the Night Market last week, but I underestimated drying times… But they are ready now and available here and here

Oh, and a wee kitty will be joining them shortly… they are still drying, still.
